I have been using 9.00x16 on my 1/2 ton Dodge WC12, which is driven daily, for the past 6 years. I am using M37 wheels, which match the bolt pattern and are easier to balance than combat rims. I also drive a 3/4 ton Dodge WC53 with 9.00x16 tires.

Pros: The larger tires give me about 15%-20% more road speed and fuel economy.

Cons: I have to use third gear more often on some hills, especially when you can't get a running start. Acceleration is nothing to brag about, with either size tires.

My opinion, I will keep the larger tires and down shift on some hills.
