OT - Willys 4BTconversion ?

Have any of you diesel experts ever heard of or considered the possibility of installing a 4BT in a Willy's pickup? The length should not be an issue given the size of the straight-6's that were used originally and the fact that there have been 4BT's installed in CJ's. But I'm wondering about the weight. Would the frame rails be able to support a 4BT and the necessary fabricated motor mounts/crossmembers? There would be a need for a substancial front suspension upgrade, but nothing unobtainable by simply using available off-the-shelf components. The horsepower/performance combinatation seems like it world be a nice match for the size and overall weight of the truck. What transmission option might work best?
