Yes, a 6 volt starter for a chrysler 230 will work in a 12 volt system just fine. You may have to modify your push pedal set up so it will work. Also, a good starter rebuild shop could rebuild your 24 volt and make it into a 12 volt (this way you would not have to make any modifications)
