It is why there is some heat under every carb. Usually it is exhaust heat from the heat riser. Newer TBI stuff uses small coolant lines. Air cooled VW's had a small exhaust pipe running from side to side. Airplanes also have heat- electric, I think.

Heat pumps work the same way- they evaporate the fluid in a vacuum, then re-compress it to give off the heat in the house. The reverse it all in the summer, for air conditioning.

You shut off your truck for a couple minutes, and the heat rose from the exhaust into the intake, warming the carb. No problem. Just make sure your heat riser valve in the exhaust works properly.
