the W500 FDS-750 front axle has the same 7500# capacity of the rear axle of a W300 Dana 70. The front W300 axle is rated at 4500#s.

In later W500 models, a DANA 70 front axle was optional, rated at 6,000

The rear W500 H141 has a 17,000 capacity.

The W500 is heavier, but its rating are higher in the rear for expected big loads, when comparing to a W300.

The front springs of the W500 are the same dimensions as the W300, just more leaves.

In the W500 there was not an optional front spring rating as there is on a W300 when a winch is added as a factory option.

THe winch on the truck you bought on e-bay did not appear to be have the original mounting, but looked like the MU-2A that would have come on it from the factory.

I think you made a good buy.
