Oil Pan Problem and Engine Decoding

My 61 WM300 got an engine transplant by a previous owner. Problem is, the oil pan has the sump right over the front axle, and its been majorly deformed by the axle smashing into it. Can I simply get another pan and reverse the direction? I don't know if the oil pump pickup can be switched around. The number on the engine block is P26*I66I90*
