The picture of uj853 looks like the one I bought for my mu-2 winch.(in fact I used a Napa 853). You would not use the retainer clips. However the caps will extend out past the end plates. I had to grind them down to get them flush with the yoke.I also had to grind the end of the posts. In other words grinding to get the dimension from end cap to end cap shorter. Then I could put the end caps on the way they are supposed to go.
Did I make sense?
