You may recall back on forum 218 John S. posted an offer to rebuilt transfer case levers.

"Any interest in exchanging or sending me yours for refurbishing? I have developed a simple set of tools for the process. First I replace the shaft that the levers fit on with a new one made from 4340 steel. Then drive the bushings in the levers, ream and hone them to a nice fit. The key to the refurb is the shaft they are usually worn badly for some reason. Simply replacing the bushings will not cure the rattles."
I took John up on this offer and shipped my lever set, with worn bushings and a broken weld on the main shaft.
Yesterday I received the lever set back and the improvement is dramatic. New harder steel shaft, welded in place and new honed bushings. The fit and function is excellent.
At $50 (including return shipping) John is not in this for the money. If your levers bang around like mine did, give John S. a shot at them.
Great job John. Thank you.
