It was on a newer (10 yrs. old?) city dump.
Didn't see the make or model.
What I was looking at was the rear end.
It had axles with the verticle drive (sorry, don't know the proper term), but like the large 5 tons.
Anyways, there was, what I think was, a PTO drive at the rear.
Well, I was surprised that it started spinning when the truck started moving.
I would have expected it to remain still, but it was obviously directly connected to the prop shaft.
What kinda PTO was I looking at. And how does it operate.
I figure it was set up for a sander, (which would make sense here in New England), but would that be the limit for it's use.
I can't imagine there being a disconnect for the axles, as that would kinda be dangerous, wouldn't it?
