I'm in Vero Beach, Florida. Its about 2 hours drive south of St Augustine. I spent all my summers in Westerly/Watch Hill. I had a 59 VW bug in High School that we would stack cinder blocks on the back bumper, air the tires down and drive along the beach all the way out to Fort Napatree. That was before they had gates and police to stop you. We used to camp out on Napatree point and fish off the rocks. Great memories. You could spend a whole weekend out there and never see anyone. This was back in 1965-69.
