hi kevin, i pretty much keep my '50 B-2 at about 45 mph.steering can really be an issue with an all original truck, as can braking. that being said, i drive my truck all the time, i just pick easy routes that dont involve much highway time, and ALLOW myself plenty of time so i wont push it too far.this truck was my daily contracting truck when i was younger and i did some pretty stupid things trying to make appointments on time etc.
last month i drove this truck from newport to freetown mass. picked up 1500 board feet of white pine shiplap loaded on my truck and 3/4 ton military trailer and drove to tiverton. i went up the highway for a ways on the way there, then drove right through fall river on the way back. no problems and lots of fun actually!
