Been working on the truck for about a year now, and since getting her roadworthy all of my trips have been intown, mostly rural back roads. Yesterday I decided to expand her horizons and try her out in the real world, traffic, highway, etc. Felt pretty confident with the work done up to this point and wanted to see what she could do. We took a trip down to the Rhode Island coast, about 60 miles round trip. The route included a short stretch of highway driving. She seems to handle real nice around 30 mph, around 40 I really felt I was pushing it with the pedal nearly floored and the engine screaming, perhap I could have gotten up to 45 but started to get concerned, and got me thinking...I realize these truck aren't designed for highway driving ,(5.83), Manual states max speed 55...kinda doubt I could get to that point, maybe downhill with a good tailwind..Should there be any concerns driving at highway speeds for any length of time? Would like to attend Rallys in the future and without a trailer setup am limited to driving the PW. The 230 motor runs well, never been rebuilt to my knowledge, good compession, no smoke, 34,000 miles on odometer. Not worried about cooling system, all components new/recored. What have others highway driving experiences been? ...Kevin
