I had 35k to spend I would certainly consider spending my money on this flat fender than going after the Papa Smurf blue 64 W300 Crew Cab.

The blue truck has a lot of imperfections that don't even need to be pointed out. IN MY OPINION it seems that David's truck was getting jumped on just because no one knows him but no one dared say anything about the Papa Smurf/Port-a-Potty Koolaid color.

I mean come on look what AAA's just sold for that was all original and most likely a 1-off truck for a difference of $36,000.00. Just think you could go buy David's truck and have $1000.00 left over to put towards transportation costs.

I saw the truck David has for sale several years ago, before David was the owner, and the gentleman who owned it was asking $10,000.00 for it. It was a very nice truck and in my opinion it did not need to be restored, but that is just me I like things old and faded. David took it upon himself to have it restored and have the flat bed built for it which shows EXCELLENT CRAFTSMANSHIP, not your run of the mill TX/OK flat bed. It is more of a period correct flat bed with steel runners and a wood deck.

I never met David in person but have spoken to him on the phone a few times and he seems to be a hell of a nice guy. He heard I collected Power Wagon's and got a hold of me through the grapevine because he wanted to get rid of some of his extra parts after his restoration was complete. He could have easily sold them for MONEY on the Forum or ebay but he wanted them to find a good home. Some of the parts I have put to use on my 52 and for that I thank you David. Next time I am down your way I will be sure to get a hold of you. Best wishes with the sale of your truck. Hopefully I'll get down there before it sells so I can get another good look at it. Thanks again
Matt
