I second your thoughts. We got a grain truck with a 6-73 or 6-71(can't remember which it was) with a road ranger and it had loads of power. Always leaked very badly and VERY loud. Had to wear ear plugs because if you didn't they would be ringing afterwards. We took it to the dealer as it had some steering issues and they informed us the motor had 2 DEAD cylinders and one more that was weak! When they got done rebuilding it, it was like a race car. You could upshift going up a hill fully loaded. Still leaked all the time though ;) Put a complete new exhaust on it and there was hardly any diffence than none at all. Personally, I wouldn't want one in a small truck. Kevin
