When you speak of "fingers" are you talking about the clutch spring? I don't remember what
type of spring we have. Is it a disk type or multiple coil springs?

Still, even if the TOB does not return, that isn't the problem. If it jams during forward movement
it could cause the symptom but you would notice that because the pedal would stop before hitting the floor.

I did my test on the GMC. The hydraulics did not creep up. On the other hand, I get some nasty noises
when the clutch is at the floor while in gear. I have decided to pull the trans and see what's going on.

I will let you know what I find. It's a different kind of truck (or maybe it's not a truck, just a GMC)
but the setup is similar.
