Justin: How big is the carb? a 600-650 vacuum seconary Holley is about right. The carb should have sight plugs in the sides of both float bowls. Remove them w/ the truck idling (have a paper towel ready). gas should come up to, or, just barely seep out. If it is too high adjust both bowls down. If it has a power valve in it just replace it w/ a conservative one. I forget the numbers, but, I am thinking something like a 6.5. Power valves can be tested but it is a waste of time. If you believe it is the carb buy a new one. I haven't looked at the price of a vacuum secondary square bore lately, but, they should be pretty cheap at Summit. A spread bore would work better, but, might be a little more. Edelbrock also sells a pretty good carb I hear. Good luck, Andy Tierney
