I'me doing that swap right now and getting close to completion. I used a 350 + SM465 trans. I think that works better than an auto in the M37. Remember the intermedate shaft (from trans to transfer) is pretty short and those auto's have a long tailhousing. Unless you want to change to a married chevy t-case also? I liked being able to use all the origonal drivelines + t-case.
