Couple Flathead Spec Questions

(1) What is the "redline" for a 230 ? My assumption is 3,600 rpm since that is what the max HP is rated. However, most of the govonor speeds limit to 3,200 rpm. My 49 B1C has a governor rating of 3,200 also.

(2) Why are the valve clearances larger on the truck applications versus the passenger car applications for the same 230 ? On a D24 Dodge passenger (230 flathead) factory specs are: Exhaust valve clearance .010, Intake valve clearance .008. It runs pretty quite and I have never had a problem with burned valves at these numbers.) However the same engine in my B1 is Intake.010, Exhaust .014. Anybody know the reason for the differences ? (All specs are from the factory service manuals)
