Late last year a group from Myanmar (formerly Burma)traveled most of the Burma Road (up to the Chinese border checkpoint)in a WW-II Jeep.

They found no evidence of the war. I spent 3 weeks in China last year (Beijing and Shanghai), and with the exception of public museums, nobody much mentions the war. Everything was melted down to make Chairman Mao buttons I guess!

For the Chinese, WW-II was basically a delay to their real agenda, which was the coming civil war between the Communists and the Nationalists. Both factions spent most of the war training and attempting to collect equipment from the US for use in the civil war.
