As far as I can remember, the M601's we gave to South Vietnam during that conflict came with a complete OVM package that included tools, small spares, safety gear, and the TM's. It would stand to reason that the procuring arm would print the Tm's, rather than the country of destination. Although there may have been a few M601's in US hands through the years, I never saw one on a Unit TOE. Like anything else, there were always strange exceptions. I can't speak for the other services however. I've only seen three 601's in my life up close & personal, so I can't answer your questions about engine size or winch.
