Hi Fred, thanks for answering back so soon. I was under the assumption that a splitter was needed to run another winch. As I stated--don't know anything about them yet--big learning curve on my part. Besides installing a winch up front, using the stock frame extensions, shafts, and support bearings, I plan on mounting another between the rear frame rails. I am running a 9ft dump box (PTO diven off tranny), so I need to make sure of clearence/protection of a winch in my pre planning. Just for my own enlightenment--what was/is a splitter used for?
