I just finished instslstion of chevy rails instead broken originals. I read offitial document on frame modification, frame splice have to be bolted, only joint is welded, reinforcments ends at the angleof 45, at least twoframe width from the jont and joint itself has to be at least two frame width from suspention points, metal for splice is the same gage as original frame, and everything is held together with grade bolts, not welds this is very important.
