Head Bolt Removal. Tips?

I want to remove the engine head on my WC-12 (1/2 ton). I've pretty well hosed down the bolt heads with penetrating oil, and I'm letting them soak. An old forum posting said that using an impact wrench on low setting, and alternately loosening and tightening is a good way to break them loose. Anybody have other tips?
