Are you sure it's JP6 and not JP8? I have the list of various fuels in use (it's 5 pages long) and JP6 is not listed. The single fuel concept consisted of replacing all equipment that ran on gasoline and diesel with equipment that runs on JP8. With out going into all the techincal spec.'s of JP8, what it is is a cleaner version of diesel and is compatable with ground equipment as well as turbine engines. What this means is, the JP8 will clean out any and all crud that has built up in a fuel system that has been using diesel. Changing out fuel filters will help keep this crud from messing up injector pumps and injectors.
