In my stash of parts, etc. I have a propane tank from a mid=70's Dodge that fit across the front of a wide box. Is this something you could use? I also have the propane carburetor and intake manifold from a Dodge 318 V-8 to complete the setup. The tank would hold about 50-gallons (just a guess, not an actual measurement).
