Ok I guess, dealer has it now. Was going to take it to my friend's shop, completely capable of doing the work but this car is 3 mo old, so didn't want to mess with warranty. Not that screw ups like these are covered. Plus right at 6:30 pm he was inbetween his shop and home and I couldn't reach him. The tow driver needed a place to go so we sent him to closest vw dealer. I just don't have time to take a fuel system apart. They couldn't get the right filters until Monday, but they'll have it done by then. They said it should be ok, happens all the time, even their sales guys do it. It's not a cheap fix though, dealer costs with mfg specified procedures, X amount of hrs @ X amount of $/hr and you get a hefty bill. Oh well, what can you do? Life comes at you fast.
