NO swap, still the 5:83's, I've been in the front & rear ends before. I have a clunking sound that seems to be coming from the front diff. I had it up on stands and was running it in gear ( safety with my overhead crane attached) and could hear it in the diff. just pulled the axles out last night after work, tonight I'll drop the 3rd member to see what the issue is. as weak as the pinion is on these trucks, I suspect some tooth parts to be in the bottom. I carry a very heavy plow around and move a lot of snow all winter up here, seems to take it's toll, I was in the front end about 8-9 years ago. ( new ring & pinion then )
