Creativity is where you find it. Seems cool to me, just don't sand through all thet rust. Prep is always the hardest part. Course, one of the guys here wipes on a coat of Linseed oil, that is redneck clear coat!
Reminiscent of the 60's when the guys would primer good paint jobs, 'cause flat paint was cool. My FFPW might have been like that- it was a pink that had weathered away til nothin protected the bondo.
I've sure done a lot of furniture that way- the customers want old, but still shiney...
