Feedback is usually a good indicator, like Aaron says. Also, ask the seller for his phone number & call him. If he won't give you his number or you can't reach him...don't bid. Ask lots of questions. Ask the seller to send pictures of the worst part of the truck rather than the nice shot taken at the park from 30 feet away.
Ask who's done the maintainance & call them.
A few phone calls can be money well spent...do your homework & if you feel uneasy about the seller...don't bid no matter how nice the truck looks.
