Thank you for explaining the obvious. Some people spend too much time on small islands back east.

I'll try to explain. Out here in the west, we have millions of acres of land that's too dry to grow any crop on and too far from the mall for anybody to want to build a house on. There are people called "ranchers" who own or lease this land and turn these large docile beasts called "cattle" loose on it. The cattle wander around eating whatever scrubby grass and other plants they can find. After they've been at it for two years and are big and fat, we kill them, cut them up in pieces, and eat their flesh, generally after burning it lightly on a wire grill over a fire. It might sound barbaric, but it's actually a tastier way of eating vegetables than muching on carrots, lettuce, spinach, or grass directly.
