Short trailers are hard to back. Brakes on both axels. Bulldog coupler and 10,00# bulldog Jack like is used on a gooseneck preferably two speed. Longer wrap around tounge will make it easier to back. 6000# axels will give you 8 lug wheels and a safety margin as well as carry the weight better. If you are still using that 1/2 T Ford I would have them install weight distribution mounts and the anti sway bar ball onto the toungue for that type of hitch by the way that hitch should be 2 5/16 either way..
