Dave:

Couple of comments. I would suggest that you get a 12,000# rated trailer. The frames are stronger and they usually have 16" tires which is much better than the 15" ones.

I personally have a 20' trailer made by Texas Bragg. It is their Leo trailer. It is made in Mt Pleasant TX. It is actually an equipment trailer according to their web site. http://www.texasbraggtrailers.com/leo_equipment_trailer.htm
It is a really solid trailer much better built than a lot of trailers. People really like it and I get a lot of comments from truckers that I have a great trailer under my truck. I have traveled to California over many mountain passes many times with a truck on it and it is really great on the road. I also have done a lot of 2 lane mountain road work with it. Just fine. The brakes are great on it. I tow with a 1 ton truck with a camper on it plus the trailer and PW. I am at 22,500#. The truck actually stops better with the trailer on it. Never any fishtailing nor does it try to come up my butt in a hard stop. I did blow a trailer tire a year ago and there was no problems with stabilty.

I like the 20' length as it gives me room to correctly balance the truck on the trailer. I can get the proper toungue weight with is critical when towing. I also have room for a storage box in front. With the ff PW the bed is right at the back of the trailer. The Carryall fits better as it has a shorter wheel base. You will never bend the jack on it as it is massive and the fenders are diamond plate steel.

The main thing is to have dual axle brakes and 16" tires and 6,000# dual axles to handle the load. I like my Leo and they are made in your area.
