The Dodge Truck Shop Manual, Dodge Part Number D-11318, covers Dodge "W" series trucks starting in 1941 and includes the WDX. There are almost no significant changes for working on the "flat fender" Power Wagons since that Manual was first published. My WDX and my W300M are the same except for the arrangement of the instruments, key starting, 12 volt, and the various series of express beds.

The 251 cid engine and some other options appeared in the 1960's but this book is pretty much all you will need.

A Dodge Power Wagon Parts List, Part Number D-15788 (Supercedes D-15078) is an excellent additional reference since it shows how many assemblies go together.

Reproductions are available from VPW and Roberts Motor Parts. My son bought ours from Roberts back in 1985 when he started collecting the "W" series (1941 - 1947) 2WD Dodge pickups.

Of course, we have Dodge Truck Shop manuals for "B" and "C" series to cover his other 2WD Dodge trucks.

We also have Chilton and Haynes but the Dodge manuals are best.

The Army manuals for the military Dodge "WC" and "M" series trucks have a great amount of content which is redundant to the Dodge manuals, but are good to have when you acquire your military Dodges, and YOU WILL!

Good luck.
