Dynamat is expensive but very good. I have put sound deading material all though my carryall. It really helps with both sound and heat. It stops the panels from singing like an empty barrel.

Make sure what ever you use to make sure it will not absorb water. I.e. no jute or fabric backed material. Closed cell foam (blue camp sleeping pads work well) or the Dynamat products. Water comes from leaks and condensation. Both lead to rust.
