Yes Insulate the cab. In my case it was more for incoming heat than sound. The Dynamat etc products are petty pricey. Between eBAY and Google, you can keep the cost down.
I've used a bunch of different products in different apps. Mylar bubble stuff and closed cell foam are my favorites.
Be aware of flammability issues.
