He is saying it would take 110k miles before you started to recoup the money you spent on the conversion. Now if the front unit bearings are bad then it might be worth it to spend the extra money to swap to lock out hubs. We are at 190k on our 98 3500 4x tow truck with all stock front end.
Also the 01 does not have auto hubs; it has a center axles disconnect. :)
