Yes and no, the real difference is between early Polys (pre-61) and later Polys (post 61) After 1961 Series 1-2 & possibly 3 will have the lower cover and fan height. After studying a few more motors,most if not all of the front engine mount motors all have the high pump cover and the side mount motors have the lower or "modern" cover.
