I too got a Tekonsha Prodigy controller. This works immensly better than the other controllers I have used. These proportional controllers apply the trailer brakes in proportion to the amount of braking you are doing with the truck.
It does have some adjustments which are easy to make, depending on load etc. But it is very smooth, no jerking to stops etc.
I had mine installed by the dealer on a new hemi Durango. Because the harness is there, the installation is apparently pretty easy. Forgot the cost, less than $100 as I recall.
I don't know about the other controllers mentioned, but I was impressed by the Prodigy. I would get nothing less than this.
