In 2007 the 5.9 will be replaced by a 6.7 that is more than adequate, and yes, if you keep your vehicle for the life of the motor, the $5,000 is worth it. 300,000+ mile motor, 35% more fuel economy than a gas motor, diesel is cheaper in many places than gasoline and cleaner burning. Diesel is the future, gas is the past...especially after mexican food....= )
