Chris, he's mixing the stock Series 3 cover with an aftermarket intake manifold, the fan will be about an inch and a half higher. ANY series 1-2 cover, LA or Poly, will accomplish what he needs to do, that's a series 3 timing cover in the photo. It looks like there might be room for a "street 90" fitting to hook up the by-pass but it will be very close (as in grinding required) and it requires temporary removal of the cover he has installed, to insert the fitting, then re-installation of that series 3 cover.
Or he can just change covers and move on.
