I haven't gone much more than 40mph with my WC-51... but it has a very tired engine. I think the perception of speed is greater in the WC for lots of reasons... the suspension is so firm, you feel all the bumps and things rattle around, the straight cut gears whine, and with the open top you feel the wind and hear everything. My kids think the old army truck is "really fast" cruising along at 30 mph. :)
