Heres how to do it. Pre-heat the work with a torch. Nice and hot. Get some 7018 rod and make the repair. Them heat it with the torch and let it cool down SLOW. Keep the heat on for several mins. If it cools to fast it will crack. You can also get Ni-Rod, that is for cast iron. But I use 7018 and it works fine. I fix a lot of cast.
