When I was a teenager, we took tractors to the county fair tractor pull every year. We always let some air out of the tires. We went pretty low PSI, but not low enough so they would break loose from the rims. In a hard pull, you want lots of rubber in contact with the ground, thus low tire pressure. I believe this will apply to truck tires also. Good luck.
