Richard, we are having our local town fair and they are having a street stock truck pull tomorrow night and I'm seeking a little insight. I want to try my 64 TownWagon in the 5500# class since it weighs 5000# first question, should I keep my tires aired up or aired down? I can run my 275/16 radials with 50% tread or my 8:75 /16.5 bias M&S with 95% tread which would you suggest on hard pack clay track? I"m running my poly 318 with a 4 speed and 4:10 gears with limited slip and they are using a transfer sled. I'm assuming I should use low range in second gear since 1 st is a granny? I don't know how much of a chance I have but looking to have some fun as long as nothing breaks which NEVER happens at a pull right? LOL TIA
