The truck was purchased new by Gunnison County for use as a maintenance vehicle. It saw use on the high mountain passes and mining camps of the rugged San Juan range in southern Colorado. It could tell stories of blinding mountain snow storms, and narrow gauge steam railroadsbearely making the pass.
