Several years ago I was working with David Butler to compile a comprehensive book of WDX-WM300 Power-Wagon literature. This was to consist of minimal text and photos. Basically a consolidated collection of reprints of everything that was ever used by Dodge Dealers to advertise, market, sell, and maintain the Power-Wagon excluding service manuals and parts lists. (Included would have been obscure articles such as salesman's books, service bulletins, special equipment catalogs, paint chips, blueprints, sales literature, etc.) Collections were sorted, catalogued, and lists were compiled. It soon became apparent that the sheer amount of information available to us was of staggering proportions. It would take at least three volumes at 1-inch thick, in coffee table format, to include everything. The cost would have reflected this. Then came the obvious question of what to leave out in order to make the size smaller and the price appealing so people would actually be willing to buy it. Other cost concerns came up such as printing in China verses printing in the U.S. were discussed. We simply could not see the average enthusiast being willing to pay what it would cost to produce so the plans got put on the back burner.

The information is still there. Whether it will ever come to be is still in question. As far as the type of book you are looking for, I wish one existed. The current ones out there, show some nice photos, and are worth having for their collector value, but the complete story has yet to be told all in one place.
