might be the solution. they make a three speed transfercase that can set up with a variety of super low gears AND they have one that the 3rd gear is an OVERDRIVE. it will allow a diesel or v8 conversion using larger tires and stock gears and provide an overdrive to eliminate the need for 489s. i wish i knew about it before i did my m37 360 with 489s and larger tires. i could have kept the stock gearing and applied the gear cash outlay to the transfer case.
