I remember as a kid at my Dad's garage, one of the oldtimer mechanics was preserving an old vehicle for a customer for winter storage. He told me to hop in and start her up, when she starts to die, ease the pedel to the floor. He poored about a pt. of Marvel Mystery down the carb till the engine quit. Took about an hour for the smoke to clear.
