I always thought that the moniker "Uncle Sam's Misguided Children" referred more to the toys they play with and the tendency to leave destruction in their wake. All the branches have names for the others, It's affectionate abuse. Whether you're a Grunt , Squid , Flyboy or Jarhead. And those are the printable ones. It doesn't matter what branch the guy next to you in the firefight is from. It only matters that his M-14 works. Save the outrage for the ones that won't serve, and then piss on the flag.
