I'll have to check it out. I have boxes full of old Geographics at my cabin (something to read when I'm stuck there in the snow) and am always looking for a PW in their old adventure stories of trips across the wilds of Africa or Asia. It seems like the adventurers were always driving Land Rovers, and the only time a PW appears is when they get one from a nearby oil company or mining company to pull the Land Rover out of whatever it got stuck in that day.

The closest thing to a PW article was the famous one with the Tucker Sno-Cats traversing Antarctica. I think National Geographic must have had a product placement deal with Land Rover. Either that or they thought it would make for a better story and pictures if they used a rig that got stuck frequently.
